dsh-anchored-preset-installer

One-command delivery for the
dsh-anchored-standard
experimental presets. Installing this host plugin materializes the three
preset directories into the user preset root, so the session preset picker
shows Anchored Standard (experimental) / Zero-Anchored Standard
(experimental) / Whoami Standard (experimental) with no manual cp.

Install

Restart DeepSeek Harness (Ctrl+C, then dsh web / npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web),
create a blank session, and pick the preset. DSH preset discovery re-reads its
roots on every list, so the presets appear as soon as the plugin row has
applied once.

Behavior

• Writes only into the user-trust preset root from
  agentPresets.resolvedRoots (normally $DSH_HOME/.agent-presets).
• Create-only: a preset directory that already exists is left exactly
  as it is — user edits are never overwritten.
• Every failure is contained per preset and logged; the plugin row never
  fails the profile boot.
• No network requests, no telemetry, no runtime listeners — after apply the
  plugin is inert.

Verify

npx @deepseek-ai/dsh --profile web --dump-config | grep -A2 anchored-preset-installer

expects an id: anchored-preset-installer row (before the restart). After the
restart, the preset picker lists all three presets, and each installed
directory carries a .installed-by-anchored-preset-installer marker:

ls ~/.dsh/.agent-presets/

Uninstall

Removing the plugin leaves installed presets in place (they may be in use
by sessions). To remove them:

dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-anchored-preset-installer
rm -r ~/.dsh/.agent-presets/{anchored-standard,zero-anchored-standard,whoami-standard}

Only remove a preset that no session currently uses.

Maintenance

presets/ is a byte-copy of the preset/, zero-anchored-standard/, and
whoami-standard/ directories from the upstream repository (this fork pins
the self-contained-variant + single-anchor fixes). After upstream releases
change those, sync the copies here and bump VERSION in index.mjs.
