dsh-minimal-v3 (极简模式V3)

A DeepSeek Harness agent preset: Standard capabilities behind a
Minimal-anchored first request, bootstrapped with the official platform
shell — no third-party bundle dependency.

This is a community project. It is not an official DeepSeek preset and is not
affiliated with or endorsed by DeepSeek.

What it does

Two-phase design (same as 极简模式V2, except the bootstrap shell):

1. Phase 1 (request #1 only): the model-visible tool catalog is narrowed
   to exactly two tools — the official deployment shell (pwsh on
   win32, bash elsewhere) plus read — and the auto-injected workspace
   instructions (AGENTS.md) / skill catalog are stripped, so the first
   request anchors the Minimal reasoning trajectory.
2. Phase 2 (promoted): after the first durable signal (promoteOn: either — a tool call OR the first assistant message, whichever comes
   first), the full assembled Standard catalog (25 tools) is restored.
   Promotion is derived from durable session events, so resume and reload
   preserve it. After a compaction the session re-enters the controlled
   phase (bootstrap pair + compactionTools core work set) until a NEW
   signal past the boundary (epoch-aware).

The complete system prompt carries the Minimal-aligned reasoning style:
start every step with "we need to / I'll / I can / I need", interleave
modal verbs, avoid "let me", classify each task first (build/fix/weak), and
keep all reasoning inside <think> tags.

The dsh-tool-gitbash third-party bundle is not required (V3 change
from V2; win32 bootstrap uses the official pwsh tool).

Why

DeepSeek V4 Pro conditions strongly on the API-visible first-request tool
catalog. On the Project2 V4.1b evaluation, Standard scored 91, while the
Minimal preset scored 99/96. Two-phase anchoring (Minimal first request,
full Standard tools afterwards) reproduced 98/99. V2/V3 take the same
anchor and add the V2 reasoning-style prompt plus promoteOn: either
(no first-reply trap) and epoch-aware post-compaction control.

Install

One-liner (downloads the latest release from GitHub):

The installer backs up an existing minimal-v3 preset when run with -Force
(PowerShell) / --force (bash), and verifies the four preset files plus
plugin syntax before finishing.

Manual install (clone this repository, then copy the preset directory into
the user preset root under the id minimal-v3):

Fully restart DeepSeek Harness, create a blank session, and select
极简模式V3. Do not switch an active session from a different preset.

Verify

Export the session JSONL and inspect request/header events:

• the first header should contain only pwsh/read (win32) or bash/read;
• after the first tool call or first assistant message, the next changed
  header should contain the full Standard catalog;
• subsequent requests should keep that full catalog.

Compatibility

• DeepSeek Harness 0.1.0-rc.6 (developed and tested on Windows + Linux)
• Node.js 24
• win32 bootstrap: pwsh (official dsh-tool-pwsh); no gitbash bundle
• A missing bootstrap tool degrades to the full catalog with a one-time
  warning instead of throwing.

DeepSeek Harness is currently a developer preview and explicitly permits
breaking changes. This preset is a full snapshot of the Standard
composition, so review upstream changes before using it with a newer
release.

Behavior notes

• If the first model reply makes no tool call, promotion still occurs on the
  first assistant message (promoteOn: either), so the catalog always
  changes once between request #1 and request #2.
• The tool catalog changes once, so request-prefix cache continuity also
  changes once between the first and second model requests.
• After a compaction, the session re-enters the controlled phase with the
  bootstrap pair plus compactionTools (read/write/edit/glob/grep/
  todo_write/ask_user_question) until a NEW durable signal past the
  compaction boundary.
• The preset has the same trust level as shell access. Review its files
  before installation.
• The plugin performs no network requests and adds no telemetry.

MIT. preset/agent.cordis.yml is derived from the DeepSeek Harness Standard
preset; preset/tool-bootstrap.mjs is derived from
xiaobright/dsh-anchored-standard. The original DeepSeek copyright and MIT
notice are retained in NOTICE.
