Soft Glass UI for DSH
An unofficial, installable visual layer for the DeepSeek Harness web interface.

Scope
- Home, conversations, trajectory, settings, menus, dialogs, and related web UI states.
- Light and dark themes.
- Visual styling and presentation behavior only.
- The composer keeps long drafts inside its capped internal scroll area, preserves rounded clipping, and leaves a compact bottom safe area for the statistics line.
- No changes to Harness Agent, Session, Tools, Permissions, storage, credentials, or model runtime behavior.
Current candidate
0.1.0-rc4 fixes long-draft overflow and lowers the home/conversation composer slightly. The frozen 0.1.0-rc3 archive remains unchanged.

Compatibility with later Harness versions is not guaranteed until re-tested.
One-click Windows use
For the normal Windows workflow, use the command wrappers in the repository root:

The scripts automatically locate the nearby Harness checkout and a usable pnpm.cmd, including the bundled Codex runtime. They add pnpm to the child process PATH so Harness plugin installation does not fail with pnpm is not recognized.
If Harness is stored elsewhere, pass its path explicitly:

Unknown processes occupying the selected port are never stopped automatically.
Architecture
The package uses the supported DSH client-plugin injection path. It decorates existing Harness DOM nodes with plugin-owned data-softglass-* attributes and applies a scoped CSS module. Unloading the plugin removes its decorations and injected style, restoring the original Harness UI.
No Harness core source file is replaced or patched.
Install from a release archive
dsh plugin --profile web add <path-to-dsh-soft-glass-ui.tgz>Restart the web process after installation.
Remove and roll back
dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-soft-glass-uiRestart the web process. The original Harness interface should return without residual plugin roles or style tags.
Build from source inside a compatible Harness checkout
Place this directory under plugins/soft-glass-ui in the compatible Harness checkout, then run:
pnpm run buildThe build uses the Harness client-bundle preset and then applies a fail-closed release sanitizer to remove build-machine paths from generated region comments.

The plugin's own source is licensed under MIT. Harness-derived compatibility material retains the DeepSeek MIT notice in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md. See PROVENANCE.md for the design and asset boundary.
